Barb’s Italian Summer #7: Music And Romance On Ponte Sisto In Rome

Ponte Sisto in Rome is a beautiful 15th century bridge that connects the two banks of the Tiber (Tevere) between Via del Pettinari and Piazza Trilussa.

Giorgia, one of my favorite Italian singers, chose Ponte Sisto for the following music video. The song – Gocce di Memoria (Drops of Memory) – was the main theme of a successful Italian movie called La finestra di fronte (Facing Windows) from 2003.

So let’s enjoy the beauty of Ponte Sisto and Giorgia’s song…

One bridge, and so many different faces…

Although the YouTube link didn’t work for me (I’m in the U.S.), I searched online and found a wealth of Giorgia’s videos (not the one on the bridge though). STILL, this is the wonderful artist of the “Vivi Davvero” song used in the 2004 movie Chasing Liberty. Since that movie had no soundtrack available for purchase, I hunted down the individual song. Giorgia’s amazing!
