Fancy A Villa In Italy? You Can Have It! A Home For The Princess That You Are

Italian villas are known for its beauty, splendor and glamorous comfort, and their tradition goes far back into the history of Italy. Already centuries ago, a villa was usually a luxurious house in the countryside built by a family of aristocrats as their second or third residence. It was not the main place of residence – it was common for city people to have at least two villas. One of the two villas could be easily reached from Rome if needed, and the other was seasonally used and had servants permanently there to run it. After the 19th century, the word “villa” came to be used in reference to any type of single detached house that stood on its own with its own compound and unattached to any other homes or buildings.

As with all the architecture in Italy, there are may famous villas that you can visit, explore and admire. They are perfectly maintained and used as amazing venues for concerts and exhibitions. But not just that! If you’re willing to settle for a more “modest” home (and in Italy, modest is still grandiose), renting a villa is a nice alternative to a hotel. Villas allow the privacy you may want away from the crowds, and also allow you to cook and enjoy fresh local products. Most villas available for rent are also close enough to stores and restaurants: if you long to immerse yourself back into the hustle and bustle with everyone else, nothing is too far away.

The villas you can rent in Italy are usually several hundred years old, surrouned by hectares of beautiful land. The most stunning ones are situated high up in the hills with amazing views.

Most of them are completeley reconstructed with new bathrooms, electrical and plumbing systems. They combine modern conveniences, such as high speed internet (great for travel writers) with furnishings true to the history of the villa (who wouldn’t love to turn into an Italian princess for a few days or weeks).
